Some trivia:

This job was detailed in the spring of 1986. Much of this job was detailed with Autocad - possibly version 2.18. BV Detailing had just purchased a 19" Mitsubishi 6920LPAG monitor and an Artist graphics card ($4400) that would display 1024x768 color. Prior to that BV Detailing used a Princeton Graphics 13" monochrome monitor with a Hercules card (348x762). Piecemarks were added to the erection plans by hand. Drawings were plotted to preprinted fabricator sheet outlines. Most scrubbing of computer generated drawings was done by hand. This is the first job for BV Detailing that required connection design calculations. A Lotus 123 spreadsheet was setup for many of the tabulated connection values. BV developed typical connection tables that were revised and updated when calculations were required on later projects and as AISC standards evolved.
